Here is the latest Wisconsin news from The Associated Press:

PESHTIGO, Wis. (AP) — A new bridge in Peshtigo carries the name of a 19-year-old soldier from the area killed in Afghanistan in 2009. Private First Class Steven Drees of Peshtigo had only been in Afghanistan for a few weeks when he was fatally injured in a June 2009 attack. Drees' parents were on hand Saturday for a dedication of the Highway 41 bridge.

CHIMNEY ROCK, Wis. (AP) — High winds have knocked over a semi-tractor trailer going down the highway in western Wisconsin. The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department says the resulting crash left the semi stretched across a bridge, causing the closure of State Road 93 between Eau Claire and La Crosse for about two and a half hours yesterday afternoon. The semi driver sustained minor injuries.

CALEDONIA, Wis. (AP) — Police in Caledonia say the driver of a semi-trailer died after a crash where a car pulled in front of him, causing his truck to roll into a ditch. The Caledonia Police Department identified the driver killed Saturday afternoon as 45-year-old Jonathan Schweiss of Menomonee Falls. The driver of the car was hospitalized with a laceration to her head.

GLENDALE, Wis. (AP) — A man and woman are hospitalized after a house they were in exploded in the Milwaukee suburb of Glendale, injuring several people who helped at the scene. Investigators don't yet know what caused the Saturday blast. The two people, both inside the house, have not been identified but are described as father and daughter.
