UPDATE: NB interstate reopens in Racine County

UPDATED Tuesday, January 21, 2014 --- 12:03 p.m.

RACINE, Wis. (AP) -- Concerns about a possible explosion caused sheriff's deputies close a section of the Interstate 94 northbound lanes in Racine County.

The fuel tanks of a semi ignited. The driver escaped without injury. The lanes were closed about an hour Tuesday morning.

RACINE, Wis. (AP) -- A vehicle on fire along Interstate 94 in Racine County has closed all northbound lanes.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the lanes are closed between Seven Mile Rd. and Ryan Rd. and could remain shut down for most of Tuesday morning.
