Obama Says Wisconsin Making Steady Jobs Progress

Posted Tuesday, June 12, 2012 --- 6:30 a.m.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- President Obama says Wisconsin plays an important role in the nation's economic recovery.

In an exclusive interview with WBAY-TV, Obama says investments in rural businesses have helped drive job growth in states like Wisconsin. The president points to Quick Cable Corp., API Health Care Group and the Polymer Technology Co. which have added or preserved jobs in Wisconsin.

Obama tells WBAY-TV (http://bit.ly/MyXsPj ) there are "a whole bunch" of auto plants that wouldn't be open if his administration had not intervened and workers and management hadn't gotten together to revitalize the auto industry.

The president cites in-sourcing of jobs at Master Lock in Milwaukee, where he visited recently, as the kind of steady progress needed in Wisconsin and the country as a whole.

Yes, Jake just like a repug on the previous comments to take credit for the jobs found. Obama 2012!

Politician decisions are way down the pecking order on what creates jobs. A rare exception would be the copper mine fiasco. The true answer is that NEITHER OBAMA, BARRETT or WALKER is the overriding faction on the net job gain/loss. What leaders can impact: HOW MUCH THEY SPEND. Thank you Governor Walker SOOOOOOOOOOO much!

"And if he hadn't found this information, he would of made something else up, like always. He will sway any numbers, make any claim, LIE to make himself look better or do anything to get himself re-elected." Who are you referring to again? ;-)

Ah it's Jake again! How refreshing. Obummer has had absolutely NOTHING to do with job growth in Wisconsin. Like it or not that's all attributed to Act 10 and the comfort it brought employers to hire again. However since Obummer's Washington instituiton is basically falling apart, he has to grasp at ANY straw he can find and take credit for it. And if he hadn't found this information, he would of made something else up, like always. He will sway any numbers, make any claim, LIE to make himself look better or do anything to get himself re-elected. November can't come soon enough!!

Thank you Jake for proving once again that the ignorant shout the loudest. Leading in to the recall election, Walker bashers complained about the lack of job growth/negative job creation in Wisconsin during his time in office. Jake you said his policies have lead to 9 or 10 months of consecutive job losses. Now Obama stolls in and says WI is making steady job progress, and you take that as fact, completely doing a 180 from your previous stance that we have consecutive months of job losses; just because Obama says so. AND you give Obama the credit for creating these new WI jobs (that may or may not be there depending on your views that day) not our local leaders, even though WI unemployment numbers have dropped significantly faster than the national average since January of 2010. Your argument makes no sense, and it scares me that people can so blindly follow what their party (democrat or repbublican) tells them.

Jake -- you're drinking way too much kool-aid. Wisconsin is making steady progress in jobs, but it has nothing to do with Obama. The Holy One, however, will claim credit to anything if it will help him get elected. Obama is destroying the middle class; do your own research and stop following liberal media.

Thank you Obama for the stimulus to kick us out of the tailspin we were in when you took over. No thanks to Walker where we were gaining jobs until he implemented his policies and we saw 9 or 10 months of consecutive job losses. I worry if Romney wins, they will finish what Bush started and finish destroying the middle class and the American Dream.
