MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- President Barack Obama's chief economic adviser is speaking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jason Furman's lecture on Monday evening is titled, "Fiscal Policy: Achievements, Opportunities & Challenges."
Furman is the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. He also served as the economic policy director for the Obama campaign.
He was previously a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, where he worked on proposals to create economic growth. He holds a Ph.D. in economics and a master's in government from Harvard University and a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
