WHITEFISH BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Fire at an apartment building in the Milwaukee suburb of Whitefish Bay has killed one person.

Authorities say a 50-year-old man was found dead in a third-floor apartment after the fire was extinguished. The fire was contained to the victim's apartment.

WITI-TV (http://bit.ly/KfZgf3 ) reports a tenant who lives across the hall from the victim alerted authorities to the fire. Tenants were allowed to return to the building.
