Petrowski has Cash Edge Over Seidel in Wis. Race

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Republican state Rep. Jerry Petrowski has a slight cash edge over his Democratic opponent heading into next week's election for a vacated state Senate seat.

Petrowski on Tuesday reported raising nearly $78,000 between April 24 and May 21. He has $64,000 in the bank. Meanwhile, Democratic state Rep. Donna Seidel raised about $67,000 and has about $22,000 cash on hand.

In the three other recall elections being held June 5:

-- 13th District: Democratic challenger Lori Compas raised $93,000 and has $86,000 on hand. Incumbent state Sen. Scott Fitzgerald's numbers weren't available Tuesday.

-- 21st District: Democratic challenger John Lehman brought in $70,000, and has $62,000 on hand. Current state Sen. Van Wanggaard's totals weren't immediately available.

-- 23rd District: Democrat Kristen Dexter is vying to upset incumbent state Sen. Terry Moulton. She raised $84,000 and has $10,000 on hand. Moulton's numbers haven't been released.
