MADISON, Wis. --- Seven new counties are now on Wisconsin's list of those quarantined because of the emerald ash borer.
The ash-destroying insect has been found in Columbia, Grant and Monroe counties. Green, Iowa, Lafayette and Richland counties have also been quarantined because they are surrounded by counties were the EAB has been found.
The quarantine prevents ash wood products from being taken out of the county to areas that are not part of the quarantine.
Other counties already quarantined include Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Rock, Sauk and Walworth counties.
