From the Wisconsin State Treasurer's Office.
(West Allis) The Office of the State Treasurer is serving up missing money at its Wisconsin State Fair booth this year! It takes 5 only minutes to search our database.
The Unclaimed Property Unit will be at the Wisconsin State Fair August 2nd thru 12th, 2012 inside the Exposition Center helping people search for their missing money. Last year, State Treasurer Kurt Schuller and the Unclaimed Property Unit helped nearly 7,000 people find more than $200,000 during the Fair.
“I’ve been on the road at fairs and other outreach events for several months now and you would be surprised at how many people have no clue we are holding their money”, State Treasurer Kurt Schuller said. “It’s a great feeling being able to help someone claim their cash.”
The State Treasurer’s Booth is in the same location as always – right next to the Wisconsin Lottery booth in the Exposition Center. Our fast tracking system will make it even easier to claim amounts less than $2,000! You can input all your information into the computer and, if it all matches, have your check in just a few days.
