ORFORDVILLE, Wis. (AP) — The body of a Wisconsin soldier killed in Afghanistan has been returned to Orfordville. Hundreds of residents lined the streets yesterday morning to watch a procession of vehicles escorting the family of 21-year-old Corporal Benjamin Neal. The Pentagon says the decorated soldier was killed on April 25th after enemy forces attacked his unit.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — The Sheboygan Common Council plans to consider an ordinance that would make it harder for mobile food trucks to serve festivals and other events. The ordinance would prohibit vendors from parking within 500 feet of a fair, farmers' market or carnival without a special permit. The Common Council meets tomorrow evening.

MOUNT CALVARY, Wis. (AP) — A Fond du Lac County convent that opened its doors 160 years ago will be shutting down this summer. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Convent in Mount Calvary has fallen victim to aging facilities and decreasing occupancy. The convent was founded in 1852, but only 20 sisters remain now.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A man who pleaded no contest to seventh-offense drunken driving in Fond du Lac County has been sentenced to the maximum five years in prison. Prosecutors say 29-year-old John Baker was arrested in February 2011, about three weeks after he was released from prison for his sixth conviction of driving while intoxicated.
