SPRING GREEN, Wis. (AP) -- Tours of the inside of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin in south central Wisconsin will be starting earlier this year.
The full tour season runs from May through October but the months before, April and November, had been limited to exterior shuttle rides and landscape tours on weekends.
But this year, they are replacing those tours with the two-hour House Tour on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Taliesin Preservation, Inc. officials say they are heating the basement and main levels for restoration workers, which has made earlier opening more tangible.
Wright used the 600-acre property, built in 1911, in Spring Green as a laboratory of sorts, changing and expanding it until he died in 1959.
The tour includes interior access to his drafting studio and main living quarters.
