Press Release from the Dane Co. Sheriff's Office:

Madison, WI. February 14, 2013 – Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a tanker truck turnover on Lake Kegonsa Road in the town of Rutland at approximately 7:35 am.

A 2007 Kenworth fuel truck was traveling north on Lake Kegonsa Road, near Rutland-Dunn Town Line Road. When the truck encountered a curve, icy conditions caused it to slide and overturn onto its side.

The truck operated by Kevin W. Kahl, age 56 of Black Earth, was carrying 2600 lbs. of LP. The crash created a small leak in the tanker. The Stoughton Fire Department and WI State Patrol Inspectors also responded to the scene. Lake Kegonsa road is expected to be shut down until approximately 11:00 am, while responders work at the scene. Kahl was not injured in the crash.
