Three Men Get Lost In Marsh Overnight

Posted Friday, May 25, 2012 --- 10:10 a.m.

ST. CLOUD, Wis. (AP) -- Fond du Lac County sheriff's officials say three men who spent the night in the Sheboygan Marsh after getting lost have a few bug bites, but otherwise are OK.

The three men, ages 31, 32 and 40, set out on an excursion in a kayak and skiff on the Sheboygan River early Thursday near St. Cloud.

Sheriff's Sgt. Jeff Bonack tells The Reporter (http://fondul.ac/JQgsxj ) they missed a turn and got lost in an area of the marsh in Sheboygan County known as Four Corners. After it got dark, the men used the boats for shelter and decided to wait for daybreak to find their way out of the marsh.

They rowed and paddled back to St. Cloud about 7 a.m.
