MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Republican Tommy Thompson and Democrat Tammy Baldwin are set to square off tonight in Wausau for their second debate in the race to fill Wisconsin's open U.S. Senate seat. Both sides have been spending millions in attack ads, making the race one of the most expensive in the country.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Three Republican senators will join Senate candidate Tommy Thompson on the campaign trail in Milwaukee today. Arizona Senator John McCain, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham and Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson are set to join the former governor at a news conference.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Eau Claire's fire inspector says an off-campus blaze that killed two college students likely started in an apartment bedroom. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students Jacob Clarkson and Ross Livermore both died in the October 8th fire. Their two other roommates escaped.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin natural resources officials are inviting motorists to tour what could become a new state recreation area. The agency's hoping to transform the long-shuttered Badger Army Ammunition Plant near Sauk City.
