Toddler Seriously Hurt When Tractor Runs Over Her

TOWN OF BEVENT, Wis. (AP) -- A 3-year-old girl is in serious condition after she was run over by a tractor in the Town of Bevent.

The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says the girl was riding in the bucket of a tractor driven by her father around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when she fell out and was run over. She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

No names have been released.

Authorities say their investigation is complete and no charges will be filed.

    3yr old riding in the bucket of a tracter no charges? This should be child abuse no questions asked

    Who in their right mind would think it is safe for anyone to ride in the bucket of a tractor? People need to think. I don't care if this kind of stuff goes on daily on farms...it just shouldn't, plain and simple. Why not let the child ride on the hood of a car? I hope this child survives and comes out of it without any other issues. A senseless and preventable accident.
