PEWAUKEE, Wis. (AP) -- Waukesha County investigators are examining the death of a worker at who was killed yesterday at a paper distributor in Pewaukee. The man was killed when a shelving unit stacked with pallets of copy paper gave way and fell on him at a plant.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A 29-year-old man is in custody after three children were taken from a Fond du Lac home. Authorities say they arrested the man in the Village of Menomonee Falls yesterday after he crashed his SUV and tried to run away. The 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, were found in the car.

MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- Police are asking for the public's help after finding a dead cat bound with duct tape in the Manitowoc River. The larger, older, orange-colored cat had recently died.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin Justice Department is getting ready to hold its annual seminars on the state's open meetings and public records laws. The first seminar will be held Thursday at Carroll University in Waukesha. Two others are scheduled later this month.
