Wisconsin Union Directorate and Festival Organizers held a press
conference to share additional finalized details Concerning Revelry
Student leaders of the arts and musical festival, Revelry, shared the latest updates and answer any questions about the event. Since the announcement of the event, further information has been solidified. Festival student leaders discussed new details including official sponsorship thus far and announced the finalized location for the event. The Wisconsin Union Directorate and others campus organizations are responsible for launching the first end-of-the-year celebration, Revelry, on May 4, 2013. Planning for the event began in early November 2012 when students found UW-Madison, unlike other large campuses, fails to have an official event celebrating students' hard work and dedication throughout the school year. Endorsed by Chancellor Ward and Dean of Students Lori Berquam, along with the support of the UWPD and the City of Madison, this festival will feature musical acts and artistic displays organized for students by students in a safe, inclusive, and vibrant atmosphere. The events
will be organized to include thousands of students in a space of community and camaraderie.
