BELLE PLAINE, Wis. (AP) -- Shawano County authorities have identified the man who was found in a burning trailer and was later pronounced dead.

The victim was identified Monday as 45-year-old Daniel Richard Giese of the town of Belle Plaine.

Authorities received a call Saturday about 3:15 a.m. reporting a trailer on fire. Fire authorities rushed to the trailer in the town of Belle Plaine.

After dousing the flames, fire officials found Giese inside the trailer. He was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

The circumstances of his death, as well as the cause of the fire, remain under investigation.
