DURAND, Wis. (AP) -- The victim of an ultra-light plane crash in Buffalo County has been identified as a Durand man.

Douglas Kadinger was piloting a single-seat aircraft at Durand Airport in the town of Maxville when it crashed during takeoff Sunday. Authorities say Kadinger was killed on impact.

KAGE radio (http://bit.ly/MSkpwF ) reports Buffalo County Sheriff Michael Schmidtknecht says Kadinger had purchased the ultra-light just a few weeks ago. FAA investigators are looking into cause of the crash.
