MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is promising his executive budget will cut income taxes.

Walker told reporters following a speech at a Wisconsin Bankers Association luncheon there will definitely be what he called significant income tax cut in the spending plan and he hopes to continue lowering the middle class' tax burden in the future as the economy expands.

He says he wants to keep what he termed a sustainable level of property taxes, however. He says he doesn't want to see either the income tax or property tax increase to offset cuts to the other.

He didn't offer any further details, saying people would see the specifics when he introduces his budget next month.
