SPARTA, Wis. (AP) -- Search warrants say stolen property, methamphetamine and a short-barreled shotgun were recovered from two houses in Sparta.

The police department Monday released additional details about Friday's raid executed by local, county and federal officers or agents at neighboring houses. A 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old man are in custody in the Monroe County Jail.

Sparta police say the arrests are the result of a long investigation by a number of agencies into drug trafficking and dealing in stolen property. WXOW-TV (http://bit.ly/ICjZK1 ) reports about 10 guns were taken from one of the residences Friday.
