MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Governor Scott Walker will be in New York City today to meet with the three major bond rating agencies. Walker says he plans to make a pitch to the agencies that Wisconsin's budget is on firmer ground after requiring nearly all public workers to contribute more toward their pension and health care costs.

BARABOO, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin's largest co-op cattle marketer is seeing a significant increase in livestock sales as grazing land dries up and feed prices rise. The Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association in Baraboo says sales of calves, cows and other livestock rose 150 percent last week.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Many of state Department of Natural Resources offices won't offer counter service on Monday. That's because workers will be getting training for this fall's hunting seasons.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A collection of rare jazz recordings is now at its new home at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where archivists plan to digitize the music. The collection was owned by Pete Peterson, a Texan who led a big band for 60 years. It includes sheet music and about 1,000 records.
