TOWN OF TRENTON, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities in southeastern Wisconsin say a West Bend man has drowned while swimming at Sandy Knoll County Park.
The Washington County sheriff's department identified the man Wednesday as 69-year-old Daniel A. Corbell.
Emergency crews were called to the scene in the Town of Trenton on Tuesday evening. Authorities say Corbell had failed to surface for 10 minutes.
When rescuers pulled him out he had no pulse and wasn't breathing. Officials performed CPR but the efforts weren't successful. A WISN-TV report (http://bit.ly/MJU7SG ) says Corbell was declared dead at the scene.
One of the rescue divers was also treated at the scene for possible heat exhaustion.
