CASSVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- A Cassville teenager is recovering after he was attacked and bitten by three pit bull terriers.
The Capital Times (bit.ly/L8s9vf) reports the 15-year-old, who runs track at Cassville High School, was running past a home in the southwestern Wisconsin town of Cassville when the three pit bulls came at him Monday.
The Grant County sheriff's office says the teen was bitten several times by the pit bulls. The owner of one of the dogs tried to get the dogs away from the teen one at a time and also was bitten.
Authorities say the teen needed several hours of surgery to repair the damage.
The attack remains under investigation.
