Wisconsin Man Arrested On Suspicion Of 11th OWI

Posted Monday, October 1, 2012 --- 5:30 p.m.

PULASKI, Wis. (AP) -- Police have arrested a 50-year-old Pulaski man on suspicion of his 11th drunken-driving offense.

Pulaski Police Chief Randal Dunford says the man was driving Sunday afternoon when an officer checked his vehicle registration. The officer found the man had a revoked license stemming from a 2010 drunken-driving conviction and also was wanted on a warrant.

Dunford says the man was later stopped and failed a field sobriety test.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette (http://gbpg.net/SuW3QQ ) reports the man also took a preliminary breath test and registered over Wisconsin's legal alcohol limit of 0.08 percent. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Brown County Jail.

11 - really? What does the WI Tavern League have on our congresspeople that we still have people with 11 DUI's that are not incarcerated?

His 11th OWI offense. Tie to raise the beer tax to a buck a can or bottle. The beer tax has not bee raised since 1969. Get these drunks off the streets. Time to toughen the OWI laws. NO ONE should be on the road after their 3rd offense.
