APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin officials have arrested five people they say were in possession of cocaine and heroin valued at $57,000.
The Lake Winnebago area drug enforcement director told Appleton Post-Crescent Media Thursday that authorities seized the drugs from a Grand Chute hotel room Wednesday. Police found about 280 grams of crack cocaine and 73 grams of heroin.
He says three Appleton-area residents and an Illinois couple were arrested. Their charges include delivery of cocaine, attempting to possess cocaine and possessing heroin and cocaine with the intent to deliver.
The director says the seizure is of a very significant size for the area.
The five people are being held in the Outagamie County jail pending bond hearings.
