Wisconsin Boy Competes To Be Top Geography Whiz

MINOCQUA, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin student will be competing again to be the nation's top geography whiz.

Vansh Jain from Minocqua is one of ten finalists of the National Geographic Bee, which will be held Thursday in Washington, D.C.

The 13-year-old Boy Scout made the cut after a preliminary round with 54 finalists Tuesday. He was the Wisconsin winner in 2009 and 2010 as well.

The finals will be at the National Geographic Society and moderated by "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek.

First prize is a $25,000 college scholarship, lifetime membership in the National Geographic Society and a trip to the Galpagos Islands.
