MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Members of the public, police officers and criminal justice professionals will get a chance to sound off on crime and judicial issues in their communities this week.

The Statewide Criminal Justice Coordinating Council will hold a listening session in Green Bay on Tuesday evening. The council is gathering ideas from across the criminal justice system in hopes of improving coordination and overall justice system operations.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker established the 20-member council by executive order in April and charged it with examining criminal justice problems in the state.
