MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin State Bar is about to get a new president.

Attorney Kevin G. Klein of Phillips will be sworn in at the organization's annual meeting Wednesday evening in Wisconsin Dells. Klein replaces Milwaukee attorney Jim Brennan and will serve a one-year term beginning July 1.

Klein serves as village attorney in Butternut. He also serves as president of the Price County Bar Association and has sat on the state bar's Board of Governors. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1981.

He says he plans to encourage his fellow attorneys to volunteer with organizations such as the state bar.
