MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- History buffs will get a chance this summer to experience chores on a pioneer-era Wisconsin farm the old-fashioned way -- by doing them.

The Old World Wisconsin historical site plans to open a new interactive exhibit called "Life on the Farm" on June 9. Visitors can experience farm work firsthand, including checking the chicken coop for eggs, helping in the garden, building a carpentry project and working with animals.

When the work is done each guest will receive a biography card of a member of the Krueger family, an actual German farm family in Wisconsin in the 1880s.
