MADISON, WI. (AP) -- Families will get a chance to fish for free next month in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.

Forest rangers will offer their second annual Kids Fishing Day on Saturday, June 2, at Lost Lake Campground in Florence County, about 45 minutes east of Eagle River.

Families won't need licenses or stamps to fish and all the equipment will be provided. Fishing isn't the only activity on the day's agenda -- the schedule includes a casting contest, a visit from Smokey Bear, canoeing, kayaking, free food and raffle prizes.

The event is part of Wisconsin's Free Fishing Weekend.
