UPDATE: Woman Fatally Shot in Waukesha, Suspect at Large

UPDATE: Waukesha police are looking for the man suspected of shooting and killing a woman near a busy intersection this week.

WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) -- Waukesha police are looking for the man suspected of shooting and killing a woman near a busy intersection this week.

Twenty-four-year-old Shanel Negron was fatally shot in Waukesha on Monday about 7:15 p.m. A WTMJ-TV report says the suspect is a 26-year-old from Waukesha.

He was seen leaving the crime scene in a 2002 Ford Taurus with the license plate 394-TVK.

Waukesha police Chief Russell Jack says authorities are following up on leads to locate the man. Jack says his department has been in contact with the U.S. Marshals Service, which will put the suspect on its most-wanted list.

WAUKESHA (WITI) — Waukesha police are seeking 26-year-old Eddie Callaway in connection with the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old woman. Callaway is believed to be armed and dangerous.

According to police, the incident occurred near N. Moreland Boulevard and Summit Ave. on Monday night, April 22nd.

A witness told FOX6 News it happened around 7:00 p.m.

“We were outside with the kids and we saw a male suspect run through our yard. At first there was no sirens or anything. And within I’d say about 10 minutes, we started hearing the sirens. We of course brought all the kids in the house right away,” Lisa Rich said.

An eyewitness told FOX6 News she saw a man and a woman arguing, before the man pulled a gun and shot the woman before fleeing the scene. That eyewitness told FOX6 News the woman shot is in her 20s. The eyewitness reports the woman shot and killed has a young daughter.

Officials say Callaway was seen leaving the scene in a 2002 Ford Taurus with license plate 3 9 4 T V K.

Police are looking for any information on Callaway’s whereabouts. If anyone encounters him, call 911 and DO NOT ATTEMPT CONTACT.
