Wis. DOC sends officials to Armenia

Posted: 10/01/2013 - A Wisconsin Department of Corrections team is spending two weeks in Armenia to help improve that country's prison system. The five-person delegation will participate in training, discussions and field observations, including visits to institutions and a new institution under construction in the Armavir province. The group hopes to help develop activation plans and security policies for the new facility.

Enrollment begins under federally run exchange

Updated: 10/01/2013 - The uninsured now have 10 weeks to sign up for health insurance if they want coverage for 2014. The new online marketplace, or exchange, where federally subsidized private insurance plans are offered went live on Tuesday. It is estimated that about 700,000 Wisconsin residents are eligible to shop for plans on the exchange.
