Rock Stars Die Younger Than Most

They have fans, fame and money, but rock and pop stars may be paying for it.

A UK study found that they are more than twice as likely to die early than the average person.

The research included more than 1,000 successful American and European musicians between 1956 and 1999.

The average age of death for Americans was 42, for Europeans it was 35.

Alcohol and drug use caused more than a quarter of the deaths.
