School had to be canceled Monday in the Black River Falls school district after the air was let out of all the tires on the buses.
Transportation Director, Jeff Walker, says sometime between 7:00 Sunday night and 7:00 Monday morning, someone broke the valve stems or took the cores out of about 44 tires that were parked at the bus garage.
Walker says the front tires were totally flat and most of the air had been let out of the back tires.
Administrators initially called a 2-hour late start for classes, but workers were not able to get the buses up and running in that time so the whole school day had to be canceled.
