TEBOWED OUT

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- Tebowmania isn't spreading to the Broncos locker room. While much of the nation can't get enough of quarterback Tim Tebow, his teammates aren't buying into the hype. Rookie safety Quinton Carter says people outside the locker room have their fun with Tebowmania. Carter adds his teammates can't be bothered with that sort of nonsense. He says the Broncos are hard at work and want to win. Carter says all that Tebow's teammates care about is "how good of football he plays." Tomorrow, the Broncos face the New England Patriots in the divisional playoffs.

PHILHARMONIC-RINGTONE

NEW YORK (AP) -- Stop the music! That's just what Music Director Alan Gilbert did when a cellphone started ringing, during a live performance of the New York Philharmonic. The ringing iPhone interrupted the final movement of Gustav Mahler's Ninth Symphony. When the phone kept ringing in the first row, the conductor stopped the orchestra until it was silenced. A spokeswoman for Lincoln Center says there's a reminder before every performance for people in the audience to turn off their phones.

SEX IN THE PARK

GREENWOOD, Miss. (AP) -- A Mississippi couple is in trouble with the law -- over charges of sex in the park. Authorities say 55-year-old Tommie Ray Gilmore and 43-year-old Leisa Silas Chandler were captured on cellphone video doing it in public. Police say an officer also witnessed the broad daylight tryst on New Year's Day. They were both charged with indecent exposure and public drunkenness. The Greenwood Commonwealth reports the couple is due in court March 19th to answer the misdemeanor charges.

STOLEN SEX DOLL

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- An armed bandit has a new friend -- a sex doll. Police in Iowa City, Iowa, say a man entered an adult entertainment store and threatened the clerk with a large knife. A local paper (Press-Citizen) reports the robber took a sex doll worth 250 bucks. The worker at the Romantix Pleasure Palace wasn't hurt and ran to a nearby convenience store. Police are still looking for the sex doll-napper.

TOILET PAPER THEFTS

GONZALES, La. (AP) -- Police report they've K-O'd the T-P thieves. Authorities in Gonzales, Louisiana, have busted two public employees, charged with stealing toilet paper from park restrooms. Police say the pair may have taken more than 60 rolls of T-P. The Advocate reports surveillance cameras showed the men entering a restroom. Police say they caught them leaving with 10 rolls in a bag.

DC TICKET AMNESTY

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Time is running out for illegal parkers in the nation's capital. An amnesty program for late tickets runs through just the end of the month. Drivers with overdue District of Columbia tickets can pay them without penalties. But they still have to pay the fine. The program has been in effect for six months. District officials say drivers have paid off more than $3 million worth of tickets so far.
