RIPON, Wis. (AP) -- You might think a guy with shocking red hair, a wide grin and extra-large shoes could hardly go unnoticed.

So when he showed up at a campground in southern Green Lake County this week, campers were suspicious. Some even called sheriff's deputies who arrived and confiscated the fellow in a baggy yellow jumpsuit and red- and white-striped sleeves. So there he stood, in a sheriff's storage locker until his owners could make a positive ID.

The owners couldn't believe their luck. It was their Ronald -- as in McDonald. The owners could tell by the weathering on his shoes that it was the Ronald stolen from outside their Ripon McDonald's nine months earlier.

Owner Jack King tells WLUK-TV (http://bit.ly/1qnlrXv ) that if Ronald could talk, he would probably have quite a story to tell about his journey.
