REPUBLICAN CONVENTION-STRIP CLUBS

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Strip club owner Don Kleinhans wants to give Republicans a break. The GOP's convention gets underway in Tampa, Florida next week -- a city famous for its nude dancers. Kleinhans is the co-owner of the club, 2001 Odyssey. He says he's putting in a private entrance and VIP section for Republicans who want to get out and sample the night life. But Joe Redner, owner of the club Mons Venus, doesn't expect much business from the GOP. He says the Republicans are not coming to Tampa to party.

PARTY SCHOOLS

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) -- Party on bro! West Virginia University is again the top party school in the country. WVU also ranks number-one in the "Lots of Beer" category. The survey is from The Princeton Review's "The Best 377 Colleges." WVU bumps Ohio University to take top spot in the party category. It's West Virginia's first time at number-one since '07. And topping the Stone-Cold Sober Schools for the 15th straight year? Utah's Brigham Young University.

JAIL PARKING LOT ARREST

LAND O'LAKES, Fla. (AP) -- It's not the best place to try to break into a car -- the county jail parking lot. A Tampa Bay area teen was busted twice within matter of hours. The second time was in the jail parking lot. Authorities in Pasco County, Florida, report 18-year-old Richard Owens had been released on a charge of trespassing. A short time later, a deputy says he saw Owens trying to open the door of a locked Pontiac GTO. The Tampa Bay Times reports Owens claimed the car belonged to a friend, who was there to give him a lift. But the car actually belongs to a deputy. Owens is now charged with auto burglary.

OLDEST ADIRONDACK CLIMBER

WILMINGTON, N.Y. (AP) -- At 82, Jerry Levine is an Adirondack 46er. He's now the oldest person to climb New York's highest mountains. When Levine stepped atop Whiteface Mountain, he had conquered all 46 peaks. He did the final two the same day. Levine told the Adirondack Daily Enterprise he felt great and could have climbed another mountain.

SECRET DINNER

NEW YORK (AP) -- Guess who's coming to dinner? Three-thousand people -- all dressed in white. The flash-mob descended on Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York last night. The location was a secret, only revealed when the registered guests got email telling them where to go. They brought their own food, drinks and even tables and chairs. Diner en Blanc, French for dinner in white, started in Paris in 1988 by a group of friends. It's free and has spread by word of mouth and social media to dozens of cities worldwide.

UNDERWEAR RESCUE

HAMBURG TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- A kid who jumped on his bike only wearing his underwear is being hailed as a hero. Ten-year-old A.J. Hieber rode off to get help for his dad, who is allergic to bee-stings. His father Adam was stung twice while mowing their lawn in Hamburg Township, Michigan. A.J. hopped on his bike to get his mother. She was at a nearby beach, with A.J.'s little sister. A local paper (Livingston County Daily Press & Argus) reports the quick thinking kid likely saved his dad's life.
