NAKED JOYRIDE

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Two naked guys -- two naked women and now a plea deal. Nickolus Borgman has pleaded no contest to a third charge of driving under the influence. A Lancaster County, Nebraska, deputy stopped Borgman's pickup last winter. Authorities say the deputy found four naked people in the truck, while clothes and empty beer cans were in the back. The three others were not charged. Borgman faces up to five years in prison when he's sentenced on March 14th.

STEAK 'N SHAKE-NYC E3451

NEW YORK (AP) -- Can a Midwesterner make it in the Big Apple? We'll soon find if New Yorkers are hungry for Steak 'n Shake. The Indianapolis-based diner chain is opening its first New York location this week, in the Times Square area. New Yorkers will be able to buy a double burger with fries for $3.99. The prices will be the same as all other Steak 'n Shakes across the country. The New York version won't have table service and the menu will be missing some items. But New York City Steak 'n Shake customers will have the option of ordering a beer or wine with their burgers.

CHICAGO-FLAGSHIP WALGREENS

CHICAGO (AP) -- Back in the day, you could get an ice cream soda at a drug store's lunch counter. Now, a new Walgreens is offering upscale fare that you would have never found at a soda fountain. The two-story flagship store in Chicago's Loop opens today. It will feature manicures, a cigar humidor, sushi and a barista preparing coffee drinks. There will be fine wines, fresh bakery treats and made-to-order smoothies, too. Walgreens hopes the move will increase sales beyond the pharmacy.

HOT MEATBALLS

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- These are some hot meatballs. Not hot as in spicy, but hot as in stolen. Police in Philadelphia are looking for some meatball-nappers. According to authorities, 17 cases of frozen meatballs were swiped from the back of a delivery truck. Police say two men took the meatballs while the driver was snoozing. WPVI-TV reports the meat thieves took off in a van when another driver pulled into the lot.

SCOUTS-COOKIE BOYCOTT

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- No Thin Mints for you! Some Girl Scouts in northeastern Ohio are refusing to go door-to-door selling cookies. It's a protest over the local council's decision to close four scout camps. Marie Cassidy is the leader of a troop in Aurora, about 20 miles southeast of Cleveland. She says the girls feel powerless because their voice isn't being heard. But the entire Girl Scout cookie sale isn't about to crumble. Cassidy says the girls will still sell cookies to people who request them.

BURNING LAPTOP

GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) -- This is no way to erase your hard drive. Colorado authorities report arresting a man for burning his laptop in a fireplace. The smoke and smell caused concerns about a gas leak. More than three dozen people in the Golden neighborhood were warned to stay in their homes. KMGH-TV reports authorities called in a HAZMAT team, to determine whether the burning laptop posed a danger.
