LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- Weddings are on the house today -- in one Georgia county. The Magistrate Court judges in Gwinnett County will be performing freebie weddings, to celebrate Valentine's Day. A local paper (Gwinnett Daily Post) reports the gratis nuptials are an annual tradition. The judges will also officiate for those who want to renew their vows.
MUSEUM OF BROKEN HEARTS
ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) -- It's a museum of love gone bad. Officials of the Museum of Broken Relationships in Croatia's capital expect their visits will nearly double today, on Valentine's Day. The mementos range from a garter belt to a shattered garden gnome. The artist who co-founded the museum says the collection of about 1,000 items includes an artificial leg. It was donated by a British veteran who fell in love with his physical therapist. A note says the leg lasted longer than the relationship. The leg is on loan to a gallery in England.
STRIP CLUB-COCAINE PAYMENT
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Crack cocaine won't cut it when it comes to a lap dance. Police in Austin, Texas, charge a strip club patron tried to pay for a lap dance with crack. Authorities say Ricardo Luna also kicked bouncer when he was being tossed out of the XTC Men's Club. The Austin American-Statesman reports deputies were sent to the club. Officials say Luna attacked the deputies, too. He now faces a number of charges, including retaliation and resisting arrest.
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- It's a concrete case against a suspected pot smuggler. Authorities at a San Diego-area border crossing report finding nearly 400 pounds of pot encased in concrete. Customs agents say a drug dog sniffed out the weed that was hidden inside of concrete barriers loaded on a semi-truck. The driver, who's a Mexican citizen, was busted. Officials put the street value of the load at 230-grand.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- You'll soon be able to Tanka up at Whole Foods. The chain is adding Tanka bars. They're energy bars made from bison meat and cranberries. It's based on a traditional Native American recipe. Tanka bars are produced on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota by Native American Natural Foods. University of Florida junior Michael Watson is hooked. He says his aunt gave him a box for Christmas. Many of his frat brothers are fans, too. Watson adds the bison bars are "a very American product."
WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) -- Juan Tobar is one lucky guy. The 82-year-old Waterloo man has won his second top prize of 100-grand, in Iowa's $100,000 Cash Game. He won his first jackpot in November. Tobar played his own numbers of 5-8-13-17-and-30. He says the money will go toward paying his bills and helping his brother.
