DRAG THIEVES

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- The "she's" are really "he's" -- and they're both in trouble with the law. Police in Manhattan Beach, California, report busting two men who dressed as women while running credit scams. According to authorities, they even used the scheme to buy an Infiniti SUV. Police say Cornell Jackson and Marquet Dorsey are now charged with multiple felonies. Police say when their fake credit cards were declined, the other suspect would pose as a credit company rep and provide phony authorization numbers. Detectives have recovered the SUV and returned it.

BUILDING MUSEUM-MINI GOLF

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Something new is coming to Washington. Mini golf! You'll soon be able to play miniature golf near the Capitol and other landmarks. The National Building Museum is featuring with a new indoor mini-golf course exhibit. The course is designed by some of the area's top architects, construction firms, urban planners and designers. It costs $5 per round per person. With a full-price museum exhibition ticket, it's three bucks. The 12-hole mini course will be open from July 4 to Labor Day.

STRIP CLUBS-WAGES

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Exotic dancers -- stripped of their wages. That's what federal officials charge in a case against two Buffalo, New York-area strip clubs. A class action suit contends Mustang Sally's Spirits and Grill and Tiffany's Cabaret didn't pay hundreds of dancers over the past six years. The dancers say they worked overtime without pay and were paid less than minimum wage. The strippers charge they were also required to share their tips with managers and bouncers.

ATLANTA BRAVES IMPOSTOR

ATLANTA (AP) -- "Dude, you've really gone downhill fast." That's what former Braves pitcher Andy Ashby about ex-teammate John Sullivan. But the guy wearing No. 8 at a Braves reunion wasn't Sullivan. After being confronted by several former players, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the mystery man left. But not before signing autographs for fans and playing in an alumni softball game. The real John Sullivan now lives in New York state. He says his wife and her friends got a kick out of hearing the story about his impostor.

HOMEBREW BANISHED

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The kegs are filled -- but they won't be going to a beer fest in St. Louis this weekend. Local officials say it would be illegal to serve homebrew at the Brewers Heritage Festival. A local paper (Post-Dispatch) reports homebrew club members say they have more than 1,000 gallons of beer kegged and ready to tap. Festival organizers are working to arrange a free, private get-together where the homebrew can be sampled.

AUTO SKILLS COMPETITION

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) -- Two Kansas teenagers are the best student mechanics under the hood. Bryce Banks and Jedediah Redger win the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition. They beat 98 other high school students in finding and fixing car problems. The students diagnosed deliberately installed glitches in 2012 Ford Fiestas. Banks graduated two weeks ago from Newton High School. He says he loves cars, but fixing them is just a hobby. He plans to study engineering at Wichita State University.
