The Colsac III, the ferry that serves as part of WIS 113 to shuttle motorists across the Wisconsin River between Sauk and Columbia counties, will begin its season March 24 at 9 a.m.

The ferry crosses the Wisconsin River between Sauk and Columbia counties.

In season it carries WIS 113 traffic 24 hours a day, seven days a week between Okee on the south bank and Merrimac on north.

The craft holds 15 vehicles at a time in addition to bicycles and pedestrians. A single crossing takes about seven minutes.
It is Wisconsin's only free ferry.
