CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Second-ranked Wisconsin (2-1-0) survived the first 10 minutes of Boston College’s onslaught mainly because of the goalie pads of junior goaltender Landon Peterson (Oregon, Wis.), but once the Eagles broke through, BC (2-1-0) poured it on in a 9-2 contest Friday at Kelley Rink.
Sophomore forward Nic Kerdiles scored a point in his 15th consecutive game, with goals in six of his last seven contests.
Friday was Jerry York Appreciation Night for Boston College. BC’s head coach became college hockey’s all-time winningest coach last season and is now at 937 career victories in 42 years with Clarkson (seven seasons), Bowling Green (15 years) and Boston College (20th season).
Sophomore walk-on goaltender Adam Miller stopped 24 of 27 shots faced in 38:15 of relief action in his first road and second overall appearance. He played 3:52 in a game last season against Alabama Huntsville. Miller’s sister Megan is a goaltender for the Boston College women’s team.
