MADISON, Wis. – The badgers women's hockey team is headed back to the Frozen Four for a second-consecutive year after posting a 3-1 win over Mercyhurst in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals.
Caroline Prevost's first period goal got the Badgers on the board first. Mercyhurst would tie the game at one, but Prevost assisted on a Hilary Knight goal to put Wisconsin back on top. Brianna Decker then scored her 37th goal of the season on an empty-netter to secure the win.
Wisconsin will play against Boston College next Friday, March 16, in the NCAA semifinals at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn.
