The Badgers will debut against Northern Iowa on Saturday in a stadium sporting some new upgrades.
Signs honoring championship teams now join the retired numbers along the luxury suites. The stadium is now flanked by two new LED displays that line the length of the field.
"I always said you can come in to Camp Randall and you don't know if we've ever won anything before," said Associate Athletic Director Justin Doherty. "It's not about pounding your chest but it's just kind of honoring your tradition and your success a little bit."
Among other technological changes, the concourse displays were upgraded to flat panel units. Fans feeling unsafe can text 69050 (BADGER) from their seats for security. The department even launched iOS and Android apps featuring rosters and maps of the stadium, among other content.
Patrons arriving on on two wheels can also try a new bicycle valet service.
Other changes may be less noticeable. The turf was completely replaced, but looks the same, and staff installed more towel dispensers.
