MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Landon Peterson stopped 21 of 22 shots as Wisconsin beat Alaska-Anchorage 2-1 on Saturday for a sweep of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.
The Badgers (11-9-5, 8-5-5) improved to 10-1-2 in their last 13 games while the struggling Seawolves (3-15-6, 1-15-4) lost for the 11th time in 12 games.
All of the scoring occurred in the second period. Tyler Barnes and Jefferson Dahl gave Wisconsin a 2-0 lead. Jordan Kwas answered for UAA.
Peterson had seven saves in each period, while USS goalie Chris Kamal made 17 stops.
