The Deerfield Demons got off to a hot start in the 2012 season, defeating Cambridge 20-13 Friday night.
The Demons hit their stride right before half as Brandon Ehrke found Cole Erickson for a 40 yard touchdown pass to make it 14-0.
Deerfield travels to Lourdes Academy next week, as Cambridge hosts Lakeside Lutheran.
