Memorial Beats La Follette on Last Second Play

It was a back and forth battle at Lussier Stadium between Memorial and La Follette with the Spartans pulling out a last second score to win 24-21.

The Lancers jumped to a 14-0 lead with a couple of miscues by Memorial. But Memorial answered with Joe Ferguson hitting Chester Weah for a score to cut the lead to 14-7 in the second quarter.

La Follette then returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown to amke it 21-14 but the Spartans answered right back with another touchdown pass from Ferguson to Weah.

The Spartans scored on a final play and are playoff bound, improving to 4-3 in the Big Eight while La Follette falls to 3-4.
