The dawn of the 2012 season is looking bright for Sun Prairie, after the Cardinals downed Big Eight rival Verona, 27-7.

Quarterback Ryan Curran lead the way for the Cardinals in the first quarter. Curran connected with Devin Ziegel for a touchdown pass, and added a rushing touchdown later to put the Cardinals up 14-0.

The Cardinals open up their home schedule against Beloit Memorial next Friday.
