It's been almost three years since a team put a blemish on Waunakee's record. That loss came at the hands of Reedsburg who faced the Warriors Friday night.
Jacob Liebe got it started for Waunakee with a 56 yard kick return to put the Warriors in great position to start. The Beavers defense held the Warriors in check on the ensuing drive, forcing Waunakee to settle for a Troy Laufenberg field goal and a 3-0 lead.
The Warriors would start flying later in the game under quarterback Will Decorah. Decorah found Ryan Kruser 56 yards downfield for the first touchdown of the game, giving Waunakee a 10-0 lead heading into halftime.
Waunakee improved to 6-0 as they shut out Reedsburg 34-0.
