The Chicago Cubs will open the 2008 season at Wrigley field against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The teams battled this year for the Central Division championship. The Cubs wound up winning the title and advancing to the playoffs.
According to a tentative schedule released by the Brewers, the opener will be next March 31.
The Cubs last opened their season at 2001. That's when they lost 5-4 in ten innings to the Montreal Expos.
